Build Bridges for America
Dear Muslim leader,
Muslims are going through a difficult phase of our community life as America
continues to struggle with the fear of terrorism and an uncertain economy. Civil
rights, immigration and diversity agendas are at the mercy of right-wing zealots.
The last thing Muslims want to do is to remain silent during the forthcoming
season of high communication in America. The one year anniversary of the Sept.
11, 2001 terrorist attacks be taking place later this year. It will be followed
by Ramadan, Eid, the Holiday season and Black History month. There will be plenty
of opportunities for Muslims and our communities to interact with others.
I am writing this letter to introduce you to a six month-long campaign called
“Build Bridges for America.” Its purpose is to enhance communication
between Muslims and non Muslims in America.
Here are a set of ideas which you can use to get your Masjid or MSA started.
